Privacy Notice
Last updated: 1 June 2026
HireYouGo (“we”, “us”) is an AI-assisted hiring and proctoring platform. We act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data of candidates and process it under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR. This notice explains what we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights.
What we collect and why
We process candidate personal data only for these purposes, on the basis of your explicit consent:
- Account & identity management — registration, authentication, and identity verification.
- Voice & video interview recording — audio/video of AI-conducted interviews (biometric data) to assess responses and verify identity.
- AI-based evaluation & scoring — automated analysis of answers, code submissions, and transcripts to assist shortlisting decisions. You retain the right to request human review.
- AI proctoring & exam-integrity monitoring — periodic webcam snapshots and automated detection to preserve assessment integrity.
- Resume & application processing — handling submitted documents and application data.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Voice and video recordings carry a consented expiry and are automatically purged after it passes; other records follow our published retention schedule.
Sharing & cross-border transfer
We rely on a small set of processors who act on our instructions: Supabase (database and storage), Amazon Web Services (compute), Google Gemini and OpenRouter (AI evaluation), Retell AI (voice interviews), and Resend (email). Some of these process data outside India under appropriate safeguards (DPDP Sec 16).
Your rights
As a Data Principal you may, free of charge:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of your data;
- withdraw your consent at any time (as easily as you gave it);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights; and
- raise a grievance about how we handle your data.
Exercise these rights in our Privacy Centre, or by contacting our Grievance Officer below.
